INVESTORS

Real Estate Investments with the
Ending Already Planned.

Our offerings are open only to accredited investors whose status has been verified. You can choose the stage and the type of property that suit you — a development project, a finished property held in a trust, or a fund that owns many properties — and you'll see every detail of an offering, with time to review it with your own advisors, before you commit a dollar.

Four Kinds of Investor, One Straightforward Process.

Investors Completing a 1031 Exchange

You've just sold an investment property and the clock is running: 45 days to identify what you'll buy next and 180 days to complete the purchase. Our trust shares are designed to be ready-made replacement property — already bought, inspected, appraised and free of debt — that can close quickly. We're happy to work alongside your qualified intermediary, accountant and financial advisor.

Physicians and Medical Professionals

We understand the questions physicians face about the buildings they practice in and the investments they make outside their practice. We offer investments across healthcare, housing for older adults and hotels.

Families Planning across Generations

If you hold appreciated real estate and are thinking about what you'll leave behind, our structure is designed with that horizon in mind: defer through a 1031 exchange, diversify through a Section 721 exchange, draw down gradually, and — under current tax law — potentially pass holdings to heirs with a stepped-up basis. We encourage you to plan it with your estate and tax advisors.

Accredited Investors and Family Offices Investing for Returns

You can invest at the development stage, the trust stage or in a fund, with RREI's own capital alongside yours and the kind of reporting you'd expect from an institutional manager. When your investment produces returns, you choose what happens next: take them as cash, or reinvest them in one of our trusts to put that capital on our long-term, tax-deferral path. Returns are taxed when earned either way; reinvesting affects how future gains are treated, not the tax already due.

You Need to Be an Accredited Investor — and We Need to Verify It.

Our offerings are made under a federal securities rule (Rule 506(c) of Regulation D) that allows us to describe them publicly, but only to sell them to accredited investors — and only after we have taken reasonable steps to confirm that each investor qualifies. In general, you're an accredited investor if at least one of the following applies to you:

  • You earned more than $200,000 in each of the last two years — or more than $300,000 together with your spouse or partner — and expect to do the same this year;
  • You hold a Series 7, 65 or 82 securities license in good standing; or
  • You have a net worth of more than $1 million, on your own or with your spouse or partner, not counting the value of your main home;
  • You're investing through an entity that qualifies in its own right — for example, certain entities with more than $5 million in assets, or an entity whose owners are all accredited investors.

How Verification Works

Simply ticking a box to say you qualify isn't enough under this rule. Before you can invest, your status will be confirmed in one of three ways: through an independent verification service, which usually takes only a few minutes of your time; through a short letter from your accountant, attorney, registered investment adviser or broker-dealer; or by our reviewing documents such as recent tax returns or account statements. We release the offering documents only once verification is complete, and we handle everything you share with us securely and in line with our privacy policy.

How We Earn Money, Stated Up Front.

RREI invests its own money alongside our investors, so we share in the results. As the sponsor, RREI and its affiliated companies also earn fees, all of which are set out in full in each offering's documents. Depending on the program, these may include fees for acquiring and managing investments, and fees paid to affiliated companies that provide property management, financing or brokerage services. Trust offerings also carry sales commissions and related fees paid to the broker-dealers who sell them; RREI does not keep those. Because some of these fees go to companies connected to RREI, they create potential conflicts of interest, which we explain on our Disclosures page.

Protect Yourself from Wire Fraud

RREI will never send you wiring instructions by email. You'll only ever find them inside our secure investor portal. If you receive wiring instructions by email or text that appear to come from us, please don't act on them — call Dilip Petigara at 215-327-9960 or Brendan Hotchkiss at 312-479-6581 right away.
